Coaching Philosophy

What type of leader are you and what type do you want to be? The old saying is take the job seriously, but not yourself. Where are you with that premise? How self-aware are you? To advance as a leader, we must make conscious decisions about how we want to show up for ourselves and those we lead. By being genuine and open in showing concern for others, you will be surprised at how much sharing and listening will help you in your leadership journey.  These concepts and more are what we will focus on throughout our coaching time.

Managers who were rated highest on balancing relationships with results saw 62% of their employees willing to give extra effort and only 3% quietly quitting.” (Harvard Business Review – August 31, 2022)

We will dive into the notion that talent is much more than our practical day-to-day skill set.  Leadership itself, is an essential skill set that must be honed. The ability for a leader to understand the importance of caring for and building trust with their employees is a must in today’s business world.  The statistics prove it.

Leaders will be more engaged by constantly asking these questions:

Command And Control Leadership is outdated.

” Various studies on EI in the workplace suggest a retention rate of 400% higher, employees who feel 50% more inspired by their work, up to a 50% decrease in lost-time accidents and more than 40% improved productivity.” (Forbes, May 4, 2022).

When trust is low and fear of conflict is high, innovation and risk-taking cease to exist. When innovation and risk-taking cease to exist, organizations stagnate and lose their competitive advantage.

Ask anyone in your company why they come to work. Yes, most will say to make a living but right behind that reason is to have a sense of purpose. ‘Why’ someone is working is increasingly more important. Our goal is to help you answer that question for yourself and those you work with because it simply makes good business sense to do so.
